Office & Visitors Center

Construction of a new Maintenance Office and Visitor’s Center for the Dow Chemical Corporation.  The building features a high-tech conference room containing state-of-the-art video and internet conferencing systems.  A separate guard house was constructed to direct visitors to the new facility.

Diamond Electric Manufacturing

Warehouse Expansion

Diamond Electric selected BBL to expand their warehouse in two different projects.  BBL constructed an addition to their existing warehouse.  The 34,100 sf added manufacturing space, warehouse space, and relocate an existing mechanical room.  BBL was awarded another expansion project three years later.  This expansion added another 17,000 sf warehouse space and a loading dock.

Headquarters & Warehouse

Construction of a fastener warehouse, office space, plating and machine shop. Constructed using cast in place concrete, pre-cast concrete wall panels, structural steel and EPDM roofing.

PGA Plant

BBLCarlton acquired this project through the hard bid process. Items in this project include; the installation of 15,000 cubic yards of 3.5 feet thick nominal concrete mat foundations for the construction of a new chemical process plant.  Additionally, foundations and dyke walls for a tank farm and equipment wash area were constructed as well as truck unloading platform, pipe rack column bases, the control building foundation slab and a storm water detention pond.

Filter Press Facility

Complete foundations, columns, etc. for the construction of a new pre-engineered metal building, to house new filter presses and associated equipment.  Additional pumps, mix tanks will also be located outside of the metal building.

Yeager Airport

Hydrogen Refueling Station

Research and Development Solutions was referred to BBL by a previous repeat owner to build a hydrogen refueling station.  BBL was recommended because of the aggressive schedule.  This facility will produce and dispense hydrogen fuel for vehicles at Yeager Airport and for the WV Air National Guard.  BBL brought several design ideas, including a foundation redesign, to the table to meet the client’s schedule.
